First day of Competition in Baku - 10th February 2012
Day one of the competition and an early start for Team England. The coach arrived at 8.00 am sharp. Team England entered the arena vocal, highly charged and motivated.
In attendance with the Team was Head of Delegation Sensei Ticky Donovan, Sensei Willie Thomas, Sensei Paul Newby, Sensei Jon Mottram, Chief Referee Dale Gamble, Osteopath and Sports Injury Specialist David Inman, Head chaperone Liz Rayman and chaperones.
The day started very positive with good team spirit, considering the heaters went off and mid way through the day and score boards turned off.
The new WKF rules were in operation and seemed to be spectator friendly.
After a long day the team ended with 1 Bronze medal for Kieran Nunkoo in Kata and 1 Bronze Medal in Kumite for Mitchell Priestley.
