48th EKF Senior Championships Budapest, Hungary - Day 3
A late breakfast at 9.00 am commenced a day of relaxation for the squad. There is an obvious air of excitement and trepidation amongst the squad, all eagerly awaiting the draws later in the day, and ready at the starting blocks for the following days event.
Registrations were completed this morning with no real issues.
A little down time followed lunch and then all changed into official attire for the short trip to participate in the flash mob.
This event took place in the historic HEROES SQUARE and involved karate ka from around the world descending on the square and forming the Olympic Rings and then disappearing as quickly as they arrived. The event was photographed from an arial position and will be screened constantly throughout the championships.
The European Karate Federation congress meeting took place at 4-7pm with no specific items to report.
The draw sheets were issued at 4.00 pm and the first rounds published, these wont be posted in this document as some athletes don't want to know who their first opponent will be.
THE EKF WISH ALL COMPETITORS THE VERY BEST OF LUCK IN THE COMING FEW DAYS.
