English Karate Federation National Kata Coach Report.
The final kata selections were held by myself and the assistant Kata coach Ady Gray. As these were the final selections, we were waiting for some great performances and expecting the athletes to raise their level to the highest it could possibly have been. They had to convince and prove they deserved a place at the Junior European Championships to represent England and be part of the ENGLAND KATA SQUAD.

This is exactly what they did, the standard was fantastic and I was more than impressed with the athlete’s commitment in trying to achieve their goal.
I believe we have the strongest 14-20 year olds this country has ever produced. I feel that with the correct preparation we could have a successful Championships.
CONGRATUALTIONS to all squad members selected.
