In a gripping and high-paced final against Maria Torres Garcia of Spain, Rochelle displayed exceptional determination, resilience, and skill — embodying everything it means to represent England on the world stage.

The match began with Spain taking the lead, as Torres Garcia landed a two-point Waza-Ari, followed by a one-point Yuko to take the score to 3–0. With the pressure mounting and just over a minute remaining, Rochelle showed her champion’s spirit.

With 1 minute 6 seconds left on the clock, Rochelle landed a perfect punch, scoring her first point. Then, with 55 seconds to go, she delivered another clinical Yuko — narrowing the gap to 3–2. The momentum was shifting, and Rochelle was coming back strong.

But with just 7 seconds remaining, Spain scored again, stretching the final result to 4–2.

Despite the scoreline, Rochelle fought with heart and courage right to the final buzzer. Her performance was electric, her comeback inspiring, and her presence on the tatami nothing short of world-class.

This silver medal is a testament to Rochelle's dedication, preparation, and unbreakable spirit. She leaves Rabat as a true role model — not just for her result, but for the way she fought every second of the way.
