The English Karate Federation is here to support the people, clubs and communities that make karate happen across England.

To do that well, we need to listen.

Community Voices is a place for karateka, parents and carers, coaches, club leaders, officials, volunteers and supporters to share their experiences, ideas and stories.

It is our commitment to listening to the karate community, understanding what matters to you, and using that insight to help shape EKF's development.

Help us understand how we can better serve the karate community.

The English Karate Federation is asking karateka, parents and carers, coaches, club leaders, officials, volunteers and supporters to share their experiences, ideas and feedback.

We want to understand what EKF is doing well, where we could improve, what support or information you need, and what you believe should be prioritised going forward.

Your feedback will help us better understand what matters to the karate community and how EKF can communicate, support, and serve people more effectively.

The Community Voice survey takes approximately 5–7 minutes to complete and can be submitted anonymously.

WE WANT TO LISTEN

Community Voices is not simply about collecting feedback.

We will review what the community tells us, identify recurring themes, and report back on what we have heard.

Where changes are appropriate and achievable, we will explain what we are doing next. Where something cannot be changed, we will aim to be open about that too.

Not every suggestion will be possible, but constructive feedback will be heard and considered.

We would love to hear about the training sessions, friendships, families, volunteers, achievements, challenges, and everyday moments that make karate special to you.

The people behind the club

Karate is made possible by more than just athletes and instructors.

Across clubs throughout England, parents, carers, volunteers, officials, committee members, and many others give their time, experience, and support to help karate thrive every week.

People Behind the Club celebrates these individuals and the contribution they make to their clubs and the wider karate community.

From setting up the dojo and helping at events to supporting competitors, organising clubs, officiating, fundraising, administration, and simply being there when someone needs a hand, these are the people who help keep karate moving forward.
