Community Voices

Your experience. Your ideas. Your karate community.

The English Karate Federation is committed to supporting the athletes, coaches, clubs, and associations who drive karate forward across England.

Community Voices is your platform to share your experiences, offer feedback, and help us strengthen support for everyone in the karate community. We welcome input from karateka, parents, carers, coaches, club leaders, officials, volunteers, and supporters. Your voice matters as we continue to grow together.

SHARE YOUR KARATE STORY

SHARE YOUR KARATE STORY

Help us celebrate and share the story of English karate.

Karate takes place every day in dojos and communities across the country, not just on the competition tatami.

We would love to hear about the training sessions, friendships, families, volunteers, achievements, challenges, and everyday moments that make karate special to you.

By sharing your story, you help us celebrate and represent the full breadth of our karate community.

The people behind the club

The people behind the club

Karate is made possible by more than just athletes and instructors.

Across clubs throughout England, parents, carers, volunteers, officials, committee members, and many others give their time, experience, and support to help karate thrive every week.

People Behind the Club celebrates these individuals and the contributions they make to their clubs and the wider karate community.

From setting up the dojo and helping at events to supporting competitors, organising clubs, officiating, fundraising, administration, and simply being there when someone needs a hand, these are the people who help keep karate moving forward.

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR FEEDBACK?

We are committed to listening to your views and keeping you informed.

We will review all feedback to identify common themes, opportunities, and areas where EKF can improve. We will share updates with the community about what we have heard and, where possible, the actions we are taking.

While we may not be able to act on every suggestion, all constructive feedback will be listened to and carefully considered.

SAFEGUARDING, COMPLAINTS AND CONFIDENTIAL MATTERS

Need to raise something formally?

Community Voices is intended for general feedback, ideas and community stories. It should not be used to report safeguarding concerns, formal complaints or confidential matters.

That's particularly important because the website already has a dedicated “Need to Report a Concern?” route within Safeguarding. We don't want people accidentally putting a safeguarding disclosure into a marketing feedback form.
