Inclusion
Karate without barriers
Karate is a place where everyone can participate, grow, and feel a sense of belonging.
At the English Karate Federation, we are committed to making karate open, welcoming, and accessible to all. We understand that people face different barriers to participation, and we are here to support clubs, coaches, athletes, and families in overcoming them.
Here you will find practical guidance, EKF resources, and trusted external support to make inclusion easier to understand and implement across our karate community.
Our approach begins with listening to the people we support. We welcome feedback from karateka, parents and carers, coaches, clubs, associations, and volunteers, so we can better understand the barriers you face and use your experiences to shape our future work.
