Hi my name is Paul Wolstencroft. and I am the Assistant Kata coaches for the EKF Northern Region. I am the Chief Instructor of Red Tiger Karate club based in Greater Manchester and Lancashire. My group have been members of the JKS – Japan Karate Shoto Renmi since September 2014. I would like to thank you for visiting my profile and share with you a brief history of my Karate journey.

I grew up in Salford and come from a large family with 5 sisters and 1 brother. In February 1997 I started my Karate journey and have never looked back. I started teaching in 1999 and become a professional Instructor in 2005. In 2011-2012 I competed under George Best Sensei Hasha squad.

My main focus in more recent years has been my club which I run with my wife Rachael who is a 4th Dan. We are lucky to have a number of students who compete for JKS England and one who has recently been selected to the EKF Senior Kata Squads. I train with Matt Price Sensei on a weekly basis at his dojo in Leeds. I have been training with Matt Sensei since November 2013.

As a JKS member I have access to some of the best Karate ka and Instruction in the world. I have been to Japan six times since joining the JKS. I attend the International seminar with Masao Kagawa Shihan each year. My home dojo regularly host JKS HQ Instructors twice a year and have access to the very best JKS has to offer several times a year.

In 2017 I Graded to 5th Dan at Teikyo University which is one of my proudest moment in Karate. Away from Karate I attended the gym ever week taking part in classes like, Body pump and spin. I also love taking part in Badminton. In January 2018 I started training in BBJ Under Roger Gracie Association. I look forward to training with you in the near future.
