EKF National Championships – Ponds Forge Sheffield March 2014 - Medals Table

What a turn out for the weekend of the EKF National Championships, 61 Associations took part with 996 entries into the championships.

The first day covered the younger fighters and all the kata categories with some fantastic displays from EKF athletes with a showcase final of the men and women’s individual and team kata event, with Ishinryu taking the kata titles. The second day was all the Kumite categories and again with showcase finals of the team events. Western Karate Union won gold, winning the Male Team Kumite title for the 6th time and Kaizen Central winning the female team event. Ishinryu Karate Association topped the medal table again with Shindo Kai 2nd Place and Kaizen Central in 3rd Place.

On behalf of the Board of the EKF and EKF President Ticky Donovan OBE, the EKF would like to thank Paul Campbell and his team for arranging the championships and ensuring the smooth running over the 2 days. To Dale Gamble Chief Referee and all the referees, Judges and Table Officials thank you. Most importantly thank you to all the friends and families of the athletes that came to watch and support their teams in action and make it a very enjoyable weekend.
