Cadet, Junior and Under 21yrs European Championship - Comms
Dear all,
Many of you would have heard by now that the WKF have postponed the Cadet, Junior and Under 21yrs European Championship from February 2022 to June 2022. This notification was issued following our recent selections. This is a huge disappointment but we understand and respect the decision taken by the WKF.
Given that the tournament will now take place some 6 months later and coupled with the fact that some athletes would have changed categories and others come into contention, it will be necessary to select again nearer the time.
Whilst we are disappointed, we also see the benefit in using that time to prepare our athletes for this event. We will therefore seek opportunities for those members considered for inclusion in the Team for these Championships to have more dedicated training opportunities and to participate in friendly matches between now and the rearranged Championships. These athletes will form the Under 21yrs Elite Squad.
