EKF Statement on the Conflict in Ukraine

On behalf of the English Karate Federation we write to express our solidarity, compassion, and deepest condolences with the people of Ukraine at this incredibly difficult time.
The Board of the EKF met on Sunday 27th February and unanimously agreed that with immediate effect, EKF athletes, officials and members should not compete or participate in any matches that involve Russia and Belarus.
As a Board we are appalled by the unwarranted and unjustified aggression of the Russian regime resulting in the unnecessary death and destructions of Ukrainian lives.
Our thoughts and sympathies sit with the Ukrainian people wherever they might be in the world, and we hope that a peaceful resolution will soon be found.
