Below is a short introduction to Gregg, Isla and Sally.

Gregg Peers

Gregg PeersI am currently working in the NHS as Clinical Governance and Quality Manager. This role sees me provide high level administrative support to the Clinical Directors of the Trust. It is performing administrative work at this high level (with previous experience supporting Senior Commissioners) that makes me ideally suited to oversee the administrative functions for the EKF Squad. With a Business Admin Level 3 qualification as well as a Masters in Law this will enable me to ensure that admin is completed to a high standard but also in accordance with legal practices.

I have also practiced karate since the age of 5. It is this passion which has collided with my professional career which has made me eager to get involved and together with my EKF Administration colleagues help the squad achieve its full potential.

Isla Hall

Isla HallI became involved in karate thirteen years ago when my daughter joined a karate after school club aged five. I have run my own club for the past six years and have been General Secretary and Safeguarding Officer for Wadokai England and Safeguarding Officer for Aiwakai for the past three years.

I have unofficially undertaken an administrative role for EKF over the past four months; helping with preparations for the Junior and Senior European Championships, during this time I have very much enjoyed getting to know the EKF Board, coaches and athletes. I am now looking forward to now undertaking this role in an official capacity and working with my colleagues on the EKF squad Administration team.

Sally Boakes

Sally BoakesI became involved in karate after my daughter started with a local traditional club aged 12.  Over the years I have gained karate administration experience and a good knowledge of the sport and have travelled many times internationally to support the England Squad.

Outside karate I am Credit Control Manager for North Yorkshire County Council and prior to this worked as a secretary for a large agricultural firm and have over 30 years experience working in an office environment.

I’m looking forward to putting my skills, experience and knowledge to use as part of the EKF Squad Administration Team.

We wish them every success in their new roles.
